I have learned how to make a shortcut to go to a specific website. However, the shortcut opens the Control Panel>Default Program-assigned browser. Is there a way to have the shortcut invoke a specific browser/not-the-default browser?

Thank you Shawn . Yes, that does work and resolves the OP. However, is it possible to be asked or have a pop-up display buttons of the installed browsers and thereby choose which to open? If not via shortcut, perhaps another way?

OK - what/how do I modify the shortcut created from the previous tutorial to get the 'open with' to appear in the r-clik context?

You can create a normal URL (ex: "https://www.sevenforums.com") shortcut for the ones you want to use "Open with" for.

yes, and now ... how do I have the context display the various browsers on my system so I can choose one? right now it displays IE (which is weird because it is not the default) + something called 'Internet Browser' with a little house for an icon (whereTF did that one come from?) and a 'Choose Default Program' which we can do without in this case.

If the browser is not already listed in the "Open with" context menu, you'll have to click on "Choose default program", and manually select the browser to use to open it.

It should be listed in "Open with" next time.
