@ Kathy G, Why can`t you use your keyboard to make screenshots ?

I take it you`re trying to save internet shortcuts ? And if so why ? Just add them to your favorites.

If you`re making shortcuts to programs, just rightclick the icon and pin it to the start menu or the taskbar.

I tried both ways, with the s, and without. Didn't make a difference.

Hi Karen
Are you still having problems with our shortcuts. If so i think the problem may well be caused by a Windows 7 Update. Can you recall when this problem first occurred?

I click on the desktop, choose "New", and type the address in the box. The shortcut then shows on the desktop just fine, but when I click on it, it says "Application not found". This just started about a week ago. I really can't remember if there were any new programs that were installed. I have had Windows 7 since Jan1, 2013. I have made Many shortcuts in the past, so this is really frustrating. The thing is...some of my existing shortcuts are reacting the same way!

Hopefully about then mitchell, that time frame would be in the last round of Windows Updates (04-09-2013)

But we haven't heard from Karen for a couple of days - hope she has not got too confused with the Snipping Tool and given up. I wonder if we could ask Admin to email her for us as she hasn't enough posts for PM to be used. We don't want to leave a confused housewife on the loose
