Hello guys,

So, I have been recently working on a program called Rhinoceros and am looking for a proper (extra proper) computer system that will do more than the job. My brother also works with 3DS Max and other graphics programs. So, I have been thinking about changing my computer and what is inside it. I need you to make comments and tell me whether I should change some parts to make it PERFECT. I want it perfect in this financial range.

Here are the parts:

CPU: Intel Core i7 - 5820K Processor (15 MB Cache, up to 3.60 GHz)
Motherboard: Asus x99 Deluxe
RAM: Vengeance (Corsoir) LPX 16GB (4x4GB) DDR4 DRAM 2800MHz C16 Memory Kit
GPU: Nvidia Quadro K2200

I need to know that these are the parts (for the price range) that will work no less than perfectly together. Do I have to change any of the parts? Will I have the ability to install other programs too? Like apps and games? Will I have the ability to install Windows 7 ultimate? Thank you very much indeed and sorry if this was too long.

Hello guys,

You want a single purpose machine to do nothing but run Rhinoceros? OK. Never heard of it. Tell us what it does or give us a link where we can learn about it. You need to properly split the budget and we don't know what that program would most benefit from.

I want it perfect in this financial range.

What financial range? How many dollars total? Buying in the USA? From what seller?

Here are the parts:

CPU: Intel Core i7 - 5820K Processor (15 MB Cache, up to 3.60 GHz)
Motherboard: Asus x99 Deluxe
RAM: Vengeance (Corsoir) LPX 16GB (4x4GB) DDR4 DRAM 2800MHz C16 Memory Kit
GPU: Nvidia Quadro K2200

Just those 4 parts? No hard drives, no solid state drives, no power supply, no operating system, case, CPU cooler, etc?

I need to know that these are the parts (for the price range) that will work no less than perfectly together. Do I have to change any of the parts? Will I have the ability to install other programs too? Like apps and games? Will I have the ability to install Windows 7 ultimate?

Yes, you'll be able to install Win 7 Ultimate. Yes, you will be able to install other programs.

Not sure what you mean by "work no less than perfectly together" unless you are simply referring to compatibility.

More info needed about the intended purpose of this thing. You refer to Rhinoceros and then "apps and games". That isn't nearly enough detail about what you have in mind.

Tell us specifically why you believe you need those 4 parts you listed rather than some other 4 parts. I assume you didn't choose those parts randomly, but we don't know your train of thought.

Looks like you're in the right ballpark for 3D modeling. Since DDR4 RAM is quite expensive, I'd have a look at the mobo supported RAM list before purchase. You might need a water cooler for rendering on the i7. The best place to ask about hardware for your chosen program would be a Rhino forum eg I use Cinema 4D and use the C4DCafe forum. I guess my sys req's are similar to yours, but I have less cash, so I get by with 4770K and Nvidia GTX 750Ti, although I also have some i7 render nodes to spread the load.

I'm not a gamer, but I'd imagine the i7 and Quadro in your list could play most games.
