Should I buy a Mac???

I agree, I have seen a lot worse than Asus, they are nearly as good as Dell.
And as we all know, it's better the Devil you know, than the Devil you don't.

Buying a Mac makes about as much sense as cutting off your balls with a rusty pair of scissors.

You are just sore that Mac's use Intel CPU's and not AMD's.

A MacBook Pro with the same hardware specs as my Lenovo T500 would cost nearly $3000. The $1300 you would save could be used to replace the factory HDD with a SSD and you'd end up with a laptop that starts windows in less than 30 seconds.

if your not going to be using OSX as you said buying a mac would be utterly stupid. you may consider buying a laptop from a boutique vendor as they tend to offer better customer service than some of the bigger names.
