One thing to note if you use ICS (internet connection sharing) it won't work correctly and sometimes not at all with Windows firewall turned off...

Hello Soulfood,

I agree with the previous responses.

You shouldn't turn off Windows Firewall unless you really need to - I run Avast! Anti-Virus and I still have Windows Firewall running. If your anti-virus needs to disable it, it will automatically, don't manually disable it.
