i had been on another part of this forum asking this question for a day now, people have sayed that the 5870 2gb eyefinity 6 will be faster but "the 6970 has other features including better crossfire which trumps the 5870" i am looking into a saphire or msi, my personal choise would be msi because ive tryed there prosucts befor. plese give opinions, and what things the 6970 has that would trump the 5870. i plan on getting the 6970 but would like a few more opinions still before i make an executive decision beit that they are not inixpensive. please vote in the poll listed above and comments / questions are usfull, please nothing about n vidia, if its not about ATi than i dont care much, Nvidea isnt my first choice.

I'd totally buy a AMD Radeon HD 6970, mainly because it's a newer card, less power consumption, less heat, MSI is a great brand, plus.. an AMD Radeon HD 6970 with eyefinity 4 is less expensive than a HD 5870 eyefinity 6..

I'd personally go with the 6970!

Just saw your System Specs, and probably your PSU won't handle since HP HPE300Z holds a 300w PSU.

Please, refer to this list for Video Card Wattage and Amperage requirements:

Upgraded PSU

i upgraded my psu to 800 wats so i shouldn't have any issues but thank you for expressing your concern, i am somewhat seasoned in dealing with computers, im just torn because the 6970 is so new that i have nothing to compare it to but thank you.

Well, the HD 6970 could be between a GTX 480 and a GTX 570, Nvidia kills AMD in Tessellation but the AMD is an overall good card.

Plus, since you're leaning towards AMD, then the HD 6970 is a no-brainer hehehe :p some users may say that the drivers are a little bit "Inmature", but that'll be solved slowly with new drivers coming along.. I have no reference about the latest drivers so you should go to this Thread:

http://www.sevenforums.com/graphic-cards/1810-latest-ati-catalyst-driver-windows-7-a.html

And read those posts over there, it'll give you an idea about the latest drivers, i'm sure you'll find there at least ONE person with a HD 6970 and you could personally ask that person how does he/she feels about that particular card.

Cheers. :D

the v12.2 driver with hydra vision trumps alot of the Nvidea drivers. also i did some research and im gunna go with the 6950, the same exact graphix card in performence but orientated to work better with 1920x1080 monitors which i have 3 of running as i type this so that works out for me, the 6970 is orientated for 1600x1200 so i think ill go with the 6950 because it also costs about $100 less, save a buck while im at it.
