Should I get another GPU or a new CPU?

I have a $180 to spend on an upgrade. I am thinking about either upgrading my FX-6300 to a FX-8350 OR get another HD 7870 and run crossfire with my current 7870 card.

Which would be better or do you have a better idea?

Thanks!

The performance increase between an FX-6300 and an FX-8350 in gaming would be negligible at best.

Or should I be asking if the second card would make much difference?

Oh good, I got the card and am not seeing any improvement in the FPS, if not worse.. Did I just waste $199 or am I doing something wrong?

Did you install the crossfire bridge, did you configure crossfire in CCC ? Or where ever it is ?

Did you attach all the power cables from the PSU ?

I would say so, since I have crossfire setup between two 7800 series cards in CCC and that MSI after burner has them listed in crossfire and the sapphire as master.

Hmm, after using Afterburner to match their clock speeds at 1050MHz, it seems to be running just fine now. FPS has little over doubled, but... Now there are some random FPS drops in games like Tomb Raider and Dishonored.. This is a bit annoying, because it ran flawlessly on the one card at 50-60FPS.. but now it has random drops when running crossfire that is currently holding up 105-115FPS
