i already have malwarebytes pro and Avast free installed?
Would mse give me extra protection or conflict and slow my laptop down?

In your case, no, its better not to install MSE since AVast and MSE might conflict with one another. A better option for an additional layer of security in this case, is to use an online scanner such as that linked below:
