Should i install SP1 ?

In my view, you should, because it ensures your computer is updated with the latest fixes.
In my experience, downloading SP1 as a separate update works better than getting it via Windows Updates.

For future use you can also slipstream SP1 into a Windows 7 DVD or ISO:

Well usually I'd say "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" but at some point you're going to need/want an update, and SP1 is going to be a prerequisite for that.
As to whether you want to wait to do it until you HAVE TO, well that's up to you. My advice might change for example if I know your PC was a "travelling business laptop" or otherwise susceptible to security issues. In general though you want your PC to be up-to-date, and SP1 has been out since Feb so it's not a risky thing to install.

Thank you all for ensuring me that it is safe to install SP1 and it has no conflcits or issues... But unfortunately i simply cant seem to install it.
I have downloaded offline package/installer frm microsoft website. When i try to install it's telling me to install update rediness tool, hence i downloaded tht and installed it successfully. Afterwards when i try to install SP1 i am getting different different errors and simply cant seem to install. I have searched the net to troubleshoot but I guess the only proper/easy solution is to install frm SP1 interegated into the DVD by default.
So where can i download Win7 ultimate with SP1 inbuilt - I guess if i can get MSDN downloaded .ISO than it can be safely marked as safe.
