I used Reflect free (Macrium) or something like that. It also asked me if I want to make the disk image XML and I said yes. That ok?

You don't need to do the XML thing when you make the image, but it doesn't hurt anything. I think it is just a way to help you quickly make a second image at a later date if you ever do that. But you don't need it.

You MUST, I say MUST, make a rescue disk. If you don't you will NOT be able to restore your image.

If you need to restore, you boot directly from the rescue disk. There is no other way to restore the image.

I made a rescue cd and I have stored my disk image on my external drive.
