Should I upgrade to 10, or keep 7?

As far as using 7 still after all that I seriously doubt it
Once you upgrade to dual boot as you state you'd need to buy a separate license for one or the other.
Otherwise with the free upgrade deal expired you might have license issues sooner or later in both

I'm sure MS will enforce double usage of the same key now
During the free upgrade one could go back and forth at will because it's still free.

Personally, I think that at this late a date you've already made up your mind , subconsciously at least, to stay with 7. I mean you've already had a YEAR to try it out to see if you'd like it or not. Save yourself the trouble and just keep 7. ( I say this as a very happy 10 user)

Yea I been doing some more reading on it, lot of googling, etc.. lol

I think it'll just be too much of a hassle trying to get it set up and configured on my Samsung 950 Pro.

Windows 7 works just fine. As a previous poster said... if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Win10 is a spying machine; Windows 7 is less so, although not completely. I despise 10 for its nonchalance about the snooping, but I have the same problem with Google and its assorted litter. And, there's the question of esthetics that only you can answer.

My daughter is a CPA whose business is doing taxes payroll and accounting for various small businesses . She switched to 10 and suddenly found her old software that she needed to use was incompatible.

Once many years ago I took a course on technology at a university. I still remember the professor's advice on new tech. The tech companies use the consumer to debug their products. You are their testing grounds for problems. That makes you a pioneer and pioneers get scalped.

Yep no telling what will be removed during an upgrade
Funny thing is anything you might install could also be removed without notice if 10 deems it incompatible.

I haven't noticed anything disappearing but I don't use 10 enough to ever notice a daily reinstall of stuff

on a boggling scale! I upgraded two Win8 machines and did a clean install on another. All the installs went without issue, but I then had to spend quite a lot of time on each machine to disable the truly frightening privacy issues before I could let any of those machines on the network.

The Stasi could not have been more thorough!

People are quite nonchalant about using free sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Google etc, but they should ask themselves 'where does the money come from to run these huge operations ?' eg Zuckerberg's $40 billion FB shares, Google photographing the whole planet didn't come cheap, YouTube and their massive bandwidth costs etc etc.

The answer is that these facilities are free because we pay with our data.

Why was W10 free ? Work it out . . .
