Solved Should MS Windows MSRT results be "believed"?

I have run it several times since April.

While running, it indicates Infections found on the Screen.

When I print out the Report, NADA thing was ever found!

What is happening?

Is it a waste of a "lot" of time to run or am I misinterpreting the Screen and the subsequent Log?

I am attaching the Log.

No it's not a waste of time.
For what ever reason MRT show 3 infection while it scans and at the end report no infections.

Other members have reported the same thing.

I ran MSE scans and Malwarebyte scan and they also reported no infection and these also were not a waste of time.
What it indicates is my security methods are working.

Also when MRT is updated via windows update it runs silently in the background anyway once per month. No need to launch it manually unless you suspect problems.

Hi,
I have never manually run it personally until last months was released and I'm not at all sure why I did then seeing I already knew it would not find anything and take a long time to find nothing.
So no I'll never run it again

I'm really not sure why not finding infection is a bad thing.

When I run several security programs and they find no infection I'm happy.

MRT runs in the background so their really isn't a concern how long it takes.
At times I also run Eset online scan and it takes a long time compared to many other programs.
What is the hurry.

MRT is just another layer of security that I manually scan with one or two times a month.
I also scan with SAS several times a day and Malwarebytes Premium a couple times a day.
MSE scans my systems a couple times a week.
So far my paranoia has kept my systems clean of infections.
All scans are done manually and not scheduled.

Please understand!

'WHILE' it is running, it reports many infections, like more than 20.

When it's completed it reports "nothing" found.

I call that BS!

The Log shows nothing found and that compounds the BS.

No one has to use MRT if they don't want to. Just don't download MRT.

We like you Mike were just trying to understand why the report of infection during scan was different from the end report.
