Show Gimp .xcf Thumbnails

Hi,
Been a long time since I've been here.
I use gimp to design everything for my website. The only annoying thing is that the native .xcf files that gimp uses don't show thumbnails in either linux or windows. Does anyone know how to mod the shell to allow me to view these thumbnails? It would really come in handy, a lot of people want to know how to do it. Thanks

Just google it. It was actually a commonly typed phrase apparantly: "gimp thumbnails"

Thanks but I don't have gnome or ubuntu. I have windows 7

I've found this to be useful:
sagethumbs_2.0.0.15_setup.exe - sagethumbs - SageThumbs 2.0.0.15 32/64-bit - A Windows Explorer extension allowing to preview many image formats - Google Project Hosting
Allows Windows Explorer to view GiMP files natively.
