I think it's normal for a pure dual core to show a bit larger CPU usage than quad cores with hyperthreading on the same test.

Guys is a raptor (10,000rpm) drive still worth buying? I haven't really needed a faster HDD before but right now the windows is a bit slow and raptors are cheap enough. What i want to know is,compared with the normal 7200rpm drives available these days,are raptors really a significant step forward? I found a 160GB WD raptor in 25$ so thought might as well ask.

Has anyone been able to get their hands on one of those velociraptor 10000 rpm drives from WD?
The sequential read/write speeds are decent, but still nowhere near an SSD in ANY category.
