To tell you the truth I like the 400R case better. It has a USB3 motherboard header V the 600T where you have to run the cable out the back.

Hmmm... Thanks for pointing that out, didn't realise that. I don't actually have any USB3 devices as yet though, but in the mean time I'll do some digging; hopefully when I need it, I'll find a replacement cable to use the USB3 header on the MSI board I'm getting, or maybe even make one myself...

I am all for modding,i love adding your own touch to something be it a pc,car or what ever...but this guy has gone overboard, that case had so many color changes it's like trying to guess a girls original hair color...

After seeing that modding link I decided to do something I wanted ever since pc cases came out with holes for cable management, so I went to the hardware store bought a Bessel 200 cutter and stripped my case so that i too can have nice looking cable management, this was my first try ever,so I know it's not perfect,but when I get my new modular psu, it would look allot better, anyway here are some pics for those who are interested. Oh and the second pic,the hole looks twisted and skew,but its the glare from the left over tape, I just saw it on the pic

Good job 1foxracer, looks very nice. Like 1foxracing I have a 600T with a modular power supply. It makes building a computer so much easier and neat. I do wish they would of put the hard drive blinking light on the front instead of on the top. I have to stand up to see if it is blinking and I'm lazy. I just ordered the updated side panel so I can add some more fans. I'm not running hot I just want something to do with the 3 Noctua fans I have laying around.

Not that I can afford to get a new case right now, but I'll definitely be looking for a new housing after I get my end of year upgrade... Anybody here had any experience with the Corsair Graphite Series 600T?

I've pretty much always had my sights set on a CoolerMaster Cosmos, particularly the RC-1100, but their insane price tag makes me really sad (about R3000 to R3500 for my dream case here in SA). So a Graphite 600T for about R1500 (or the mesh panel version for about R100 more) is a bit more bearable. But would you guys consider this case to be worth the money though...?

I have one and I would buy another one when needed. Very easy to work with, and keeping things neat is simple. Runs cool and quiet. If you check the specs it is bigger than many full size cases. The instruction for wiring up the top panel are not as good as they should be.

I have both a 600T (AMD 955BE) and a 400R (Intel 2500K)To tell you the truth I like the 400R case better. It has a USB3 motherboard header V the 600T where you have to run the cable out the back. The 400R has many more fan mounting points as well.
400R still need to add some stuff, video card, SSD, HD's, fans & controller, media card reader.

Few weeks ago I started my new build and now i'm finally done this thing is a beast compared to my E6500 with 4GB DDR2 here's the specs:

Processor: Core i5-2310 @ 2.90GHz
Motherboard: MSI PH67A-C43 (B3) v1.0
RAM: Kingston KVR 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 @ 1333MHz
GFX Card: Sparkle Nvidia GeForce GT440 512MB GDDR5
Case: Thermaltake V4 Black Edition with 6 x 120mm Cooler Master Sickleflow 2000RPM Fans
PSU: Cooler Master Extreme Power Plus 500W
HDDs: Samsung HD502HJ 500GB SATA II, Excelstor Technology J8080S 80GB SATA II
ODD: LG GH22NS40 DVD Burner SATA II

So far, sick. That's all i can say :shock: my WEI is now respectable I did my best with the cable management but the V4 has little to no room for that! but still i think i did a pretty good job

Weird thing, though.. i find the Processor a little bit on the warm side (44ºC on idle), maybe is the fact that i have the Intel HSF, a 29ºC room temp and a really crappy thermal compound... But still i don't know too much about Sandy Bridge processors and its temps, throw me a bone here, Forum! i'd appreciate it.

I'll probably end up buying a Cooler Master Hyper 212+ or a Corsair A70 but i don't know if it'll have problems with the fans placed on the top of the case! :huh: another bone thrown at me would be excellent

Nice upgrades, the cases top exhaust fans in stock positions wouldn't lend them selves to a radiator. But offset the one over the ram sets all the way to the top and even if necessarily drill two new holes for the upper most fan mount holes and you have a winner ! I think as long as you stay with low profile ram you can easily mount the H series radiator even a push pull arrangement should work. If you do then I would max the ram with two more matching modules and the prices should be falling as once the rad. and fans are there the ram removal or addition will require dis-assembly of the rad. and fans ....IMHO ! Great job and very clean wiring job !

From what I've read and heard, the thermal paste that Intel and AMD use are both very very high quality. Did you enable Speedstep, C1E, and C-States? Very nice cable management

A few of my friends have got the second generation i5 ships recently (one with a 2400, one with a 2500, and one with the 2500K), each of them have said the stock heat sink keeps it under control, but even at stock speeds it's temps seem higher than they need to be... I'd say in this case it's more to do with the actual cooler and case airflow rather than the thermal paste. I'll be getting an i5-2500K in about two months, so I can get a few opinions of my own at that stage, but until then I can only go on other people's experiences...

That line actually just got me thinking, a minor mod could allow a full water cooling setup quite easily in that case...

That case already has space on top for two fans.. So you could quite easily mount the radiator outside the case on top, then drill two holes either in front or behind the existing fan vents (depending on the location of other components obviously) to run the water pipes down into the case. The fans would then extract air upwards out of the case as well as pushing air through the radiator. You could even get more creative if you want and make a nice looking black mesh cover for the rad..
