Advice: 1 cable at a time... and with each cable you zip-tied in place, test the back panel, if it fits, you're going in the right direction... if it doesn't, at least you don't have to take apart the whole mess...

Real nice wiring job Punkster! I would be careful wrapping your SATA cables, they have delicate, small wires inside.

@kbrady, positive air pressure also helps push excess heat out along with dust. Todays components run much hotter too. Try the stock Intel cooler on your i7 for example.

Hiyya Gary yes mate positive pressure inside the case has been a hobby horse of mine for some time as you know and I always aim at more in than out if only for preventing the penetration of dust - not just through the vents and fans but also through all the tiny gaps \that are inherently part of machine / case construction.

I have always been of the opinion that all top fans should also be filtered, because as I think everyone will know that what goes up must come down and especially in the case (no pun) of dust.

I have also posted quite a few times before re the cleaning of fans and the blades of them in particular and have advocated the use of materials that make the surfaces of the blades and venturi smoother and therefore reducung the drag on those surfaces. There are as I think greg pointed out a while ago materials that can be applied to reduce the static properties of any surface and in the case of fans especially so.
I do this for new and any fans that I refurbish and can attest to taking such measures making a real difference in working temps of the machines components.

So that Silverstone article was very interesting and I had not seen that before I made up my own mind as to those measures.

A few days ago I did a clean Windows 7 install so I took a little apart my PC

Then re-did the wiring and came out pretty tight! I strongly believe this is my best wiring to date

Of course, I was hungry after that so I made a little snack Double Ham/Cheese Burger with all the toys needed to satisfy my deadly appetite

Great board, cpu, psu, ram, cooler, gpu and case wiring. You've done well and having had the 965 in my rig I can attest to it's top shelf performance. Clean efficient rig that screams and didn't break the bank...excellent!

Thanks a whole lot for the kudos. I think that the board is holding me back a bit on the OC, but could be the chip as well. I was tryin for 4.4, but no go. I will be upgrading the mobo and GPU when I have the $$$$, it will stay as is for now. It does, however, blow through EVERYTHING I throw at it with flyin colors. :devil2:
It took almost an hour to do the wiring right. I am pleased with the end results.

4.4 is very aggressive and likely it's the H60 holding that back as well. Voltage, voltage, voltage.....heat...heat and more heat. I miss my 965 really is some ways but as my board was FX ready it was always a next phase to a low cost 8 core and it's clocking to 4.7 when weather permits.

I dont recall that my h60 wasnt cooling it well, but it wont load into windows without restarting right as my desktop loads. No bsod, no freeze....just an instant reboot. Mayhaps I need a little more cpu v.
I will give that a shot.

I have the H60 cooler as well. Did you see a big difference with the second fan?
I was thinking about doing a push/pull setup. Right now it just has the stock fan pulling air away out the back.

Yes I did, I upgraded to two cooljag everflaw 120 mm fans. Needed to get a pwm fan splitter to run both off of the cpu fan header on my mobo. It took load temps from around 55c down to around 45c-48c
