They do that too but mine does not, I noticed this card and my old card ran at full power all the time not sure its because I have turned of C-State in bios or if its because I use 2 monitors or if it have anything to do with the energy theme you use hopefully someone can come and enlight me

All HDDs are like that, my high performance drive performs the same, I am actually pretty sure if your drive is 7200rpm, its guaranteed to get 5.9 on the WEI . You really need a SSD or a 10,000 rpm drive if you want a higher score than that.

What is funny is I re-ran it three times the other night and it kept coming back at 5.9 for the disk, figured it must be reading one of the spinners for some reason, but it shows the SSD as as the primary disk on the WEI page.

Re-ran it again just now and it reads correctly,

Okay,this is not a debate or a chance for everyone to tell me I am wrong, this is just my take on stuff. I now have to return my GIGABYTE board for the SECOND time, Ganjiry knows about the first time where the one dimm slot didnt work,after it got returned they sent me a "brand new" board and its been 2 weeks and now that board gave in,pc just didnt decide to switch on anymore, so I started testing everything, starting with psu,and ended with the motherboard itself,and after hours of test it came out on a dead motherboard,luckely I still have my old Maximus Iv extreme board and 2500k cpu, so I placed the memmory on it and connected all the stuff again,redid the WC,and now after a format all is well and temps dropped on my gpu's with 12degrees! Dont ask why I am shocked too. Anyway so that is the second dead Gigabyte board in a month! So if I cant exchange it for an asus at the store I am going to take it to the farm and have a little target practise on it,besides gigabyte has the gun thing on the mainboard so it will match with a few bullet holes in it.

Itherway I am done with anything gigabyte makes, I know some here love gigabyte and have never had troubles,but personally I will just stick with republic of gamers and never go back to gigabyte again.

Sorry for your problems, Joey. I can sympathise with you. In my opinion, it does not matter which brand you go with. I've been in the same position as you with an MSI board, they even refused to talk to me. I'm currently using an Asus board. But, I had to order 4 of them before I got one that worked. Others can tell you the same stories about Asrock. Although I have to say my Asrock P67 is the most stable board I have ever had. But, don't try technical support. Again, I don't think it matters which brand except EVGA. I sure wish they made a good Z68 or Z77 board. They have excellent tech support. I wish Asus, Gigabyte and Asrock would take a lesson from EVGA.

Yeah I know it is just my luck that it happens to be gigabyte,but what I hated the most is the lack of support you get from them,it took a week just to exchange the board. I allways only used asus,and never got problems, but like you said you had 4 asus boards that didnt work,so I geuss it comes down to luck. But I still dont like gigabyte

Well, my problem is I don't like any of them. But, what choice do you have? Asus seems to be either you get a good one or it doesn't work. Nothing in between.

Thats true,well sofar asus has served me well,but when it comes down to it I guess it's EVGA...or lucky draw.

In my experience I know Gigabyte and ASRock have people who don't care if you got a bad board or not. You RMA one, they send back the same one "fixed" with magical incantations and say, "well it worked here for us".
I bought a new ASRock 990FX Fatality Pro which never did post properly. They of course blamed my hardware. This is the same story through FOUR RMAs and countless emails and several phone calls. They now will not even answer emails not give me the name of someone who actually knows something. Yes, 4 RMAs and I still have a POS board and am ~$200 lighter.

You never get a new board from the manufacturer no matter what they may tell you, it's one someone else returned and they "fixed and tested" it for you. Gigabyte even told me to uninstall w7 and reinstall XP, how intelligent is that?

Yeah that sucks the most, I think they dont care because one user that decides to not buy their products anymore wont effect them at all,and its not as if you have allot of other brand name choices! But yeah,that was my Sunday evening,had to fix my pc. I am not even going to get another x79 I think I will just stick with what I got now,old or not, and wait till evga brings out a special edition or something

Zepher - Yeah I used asus aswell and was lucky to have never gotten a problem ither,but other people can say the same with gigabyte or asrock too,it just luck of the pic. But yeah I agree Asus is known for qaulity boards.

Steve - Thanx for the link, I know about those boards,but am hoping for a limited reliece or gaming edition, I do like the first two with the dual cpu support. Not sure if it will fit my chassis,although I saw on google a guy did fit one like that with very minor modding(added two holes for screw) And I allready have a 2011 cpu,so I am going for a x79 board, maybe I should just suck it up and buy the clasified from evga,not the best performance board out there but it has to be better then gigabyte.
