They must have gotten the hint, as my two meter came with four large and like 10 small clips and I used all but one small and ran it all the way around the inside corner of the edge and it went past the start point by 4-5 inches......just perfect.

Thanks! I've run into another snag, though. I got the WiFi running and had over a hundred Wondows updates download to my computer. I unchecked the one for IE10 and tried to run them. Two or three installed then the *&^%$#@! thing refuses to install any more. I shut off the WiFi for now until I figure what is wrong. Anyone have any ideas what to do besides shooting it?

I'm dropping in my 965 BE Phenom and then when I update my Corsair 400R which has my OC'd 8120 in it, then I can drop a 8350 or the king of the Vishara hill later and drop the 8120 in this. For now my better half is going from a DDR2 4GB 2.8 std. Phenom to this and the extra speed should be noticeable.

It's a royal PITA but try to only install 4-5 at once. If then there are some that refuse to install, search Google for the offending KB number and download and install manually.

Oh yeah, I'm having a ball! I got the intitial updates finished and hid IE10 and the language packs. Now I'm at the annoying where I keep checking for more updates, find some, install them, check again, find some more, install them... Seems like an endless loop.

And I still have more hardware to install. Yikes!

Frankly, installing hardware makes me as nervous as a longtailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs since I really don't know what I'm doing. Thank God I have you all and others on other forums to bail my ample asset out.

Windows Updates on the other hand can cause me anxiety when one begins to show signs of hanging. One reason I try to do them one at a time, 2 to 4 at most together, even after a clean install on a new drive. Where time is concerned, I think of it as pay me now, or pay me later where updates are concerned if they go awry.

That's exactly why I've been installing one component at a time whenever possible; it narrows down potential problems to troubleshoot. It also buys me extra time to diagnose a problem within a product return envelope.

One component at a time is usually best, and sometimes there's a right order as well. That Creative audio card refused to install unless the drivers for it were installed before the drivers (other than the generic Windows drivers) for the graphics card, which is not my normal order. I found it was 100% repeatable when a later clean install became necessary for an unrelated problem with Windows XP. The drivers for the graphic and audio just didn't agree unless the "right order" was used, the Creative card insisting on being first.

Just added the Gigabyte Osmium to my rig.

Loving the mechanical switches. First experience with them and they do not disappoint. I would have preferred MX Blue as opposed to Red, but whose to say I won't pick up an additional keyboard soon?

Nice 1 chap, I've not been using my mechanical long but can safely safe i'd never go back to a none mechanical board as the difference in response times makes soo much difference in games.
Are the cherry blue's the clicky one's? I have reds which took some getting used to at first when typing but i soon got used to it. If you have weak wrists though it can get a bit tiresome if you need to hold one key down for long periods. A small compromise for the gains you get

@ Lady Fitzgerald, I really dread turning my pc on after iv'e been adding hardware as i'm always convinced something will go wrong lol. Touch wood though nothing ever has yet. As others say though it gets easier the more you do

Yes, blue's are the clicky switches and are considerably louder. It took me all but perhaps an hour to get used to this, maybe it's because I've been waiting to try one for so long the expectations of how difficult it would be, regardless of the actual switch, didn't exactly play out the way it was built up in my mind.

The audible feedback is a fantastic sensation, and I find myself typing much quicker right off the bat; so much so that I tend to hit one or two keys at once. :roflmao:

Yeah reds are quite a bit louder than my last none mech board but not a problem. I find that i sometimes hit multiple keys at the same time too at times lol.
