umm... is it? really? The fan should be facing down? So right side up is up side down?

Yup, PSU fan down, it looks like the case has vents at the bottom. It will then pull in fresh cool air.
I have the same PSU in a new build.

Now I feel like a real noob..

Well,, I'll swap it around when I put the other fans in. Tho, I can't see how much difference it will make.. I thought the way it was facing it would be taking warm air from the gfx card and vent it out the back.

If it make you feel better, I wondered why a new build wouldn't start once, I checked all my connections, took out the CPU, swapped RAM, etc. I found out I had accidently cut one of the wires to the power switch, so I had to use the reset switch as a power switch.

You GPU has its own fan to exhaust out the back plus the case fan (exhaust, yes?) above it, so it should be fine. The PSU needs cool air which is one reason I like the bottom PSU mount cases.

That's quite a system you've built there TanyaC, good job. 32 gigs of RAM should almost be enough.

But that pulls all the heated air from the case through the PSU which may cause it to overheat in some scenarios.

You could be on to something Britton but the more I've read and having now done this the temps in my case have never been lower and though I can't monitor the PSU speeds or temps like I said all seems to be normal and I'll advise if I notice added noise or fan speeds and heat during intense computing or gaming.

Alan, that's about as good as it gets on the wiring side. I especially like your SSD mounting solution.

You know with most cases, the PSU fan draws air from inside the case, eh? I notice all of your visible fans are exhaust.

Yes, except for the 140mm next to the PSU and then the two 120mm in the side and front one blows across the HDD's and out the rear then the other draws air in from the front down low and is unobstructed by any cages or other.

Well, since linnemeyerhere bared the oft ignored wiring side thought I'd do the same; maybe we need a "Show us your oft ignored wiring side" thread.

Not the nice side for sure.

I strongly suggest not placing a SSD in a drive rack and just use Velcro dots to affix it to the floor or case back, clean out of the way and easy.

Very clean wiring job and I like the foam taped anchors for the routing, plus the LL wheelies........sweet!

The wiring is as good as I could do on this side anyway in this build. In a rebuild I'll cut out some more access holes in the mobo tray as it came stock with only two and at least one more would have made a difference in how clean even the backside looked.

The anchors are actually hard plastic but had I seen foam anchors I probably would have bought those as when I bought these I feared the side cover might not have room to close and the foam would have a little give where these don't. All worked out though after all as it's only the thick wires in back that make closing the side cover slightly difficult.

Why exactly do you not recommend putting an SSD in a drive rack? I could understand if someone simply laid it in a 3.5 bay but this box has a 2.5 bracket for the SSD. Just wondering if there's some other reason.

No other reason other than unless you want to look at the drive if that's even an option then place it out of the way so that those drive bays can hold spinners and the fans can cool the heat off them. SSD's as you know generate minimal heat and can be place almost anywhere.
