Lol, yeah pc prices in SA are ridiculous! Even when importing from the UK I need to add a couple hundred bux to the price tag for shipping and so on.

Ccl computers has them for £240 + £6 1hour slot nxt day. cheapest i could find chap Intel Core i7-3770K 3.5GHz Quad Core Processor 8MB L3 Cache 5GT/s Bus Speed (Boxed) - BX80637I73770K - CCL Computers

Area Pc has them for £240 + postage

They have it on offer at £239.99 at overclockers now so I went for it.

OK so I'm working out some problems with a sata adapter that's not happy but slowly and surely getting things back to where I like them. Looks to be a week or two to sort the rest out but my first Intel build is up and running strong. Knowing what I know now would I have upgraded from my FX 8 core......honestly no freak'n way. Having pulled the trigger and built the rig am I happy yes, overwhelmed...not so much. Maybe as time and handling goes on I will notice the added speed but I have to admit the Bulldozer in it's new case is running like a scalded ape and easily matches this build...go figure.

So I got one of these and the 3770k today.

Total breeze, didn't even bother to bench test, chucked it straight in the case, whacked the CPU in and installed Windows.

No problems at all, booted first time, everything running as it should and things are looking good.

Sorry I have not had chance to take any pic's myself yet, been a little busy and have work tomorrow, but I will get a couple up tomorrow.

Everything is stock right now, the overclocking begins tomorrow

But I have to say this board boots in half the time of my old Asus P67, and so far I am very happy with it, it's a cheap board but has a reasonable spec.

Yeah I think the latest line of Z77 Extreme motherboards by them seem to be getting some great reviews. Not just magazine reviews but user feedback.

So far so good for me anyway. I will let you know how the overclocking goes
