I have 4.0 because I have an old processor. I have 7.2 in at least two categories.
I believe the WEI is a Big Joke however.
It does not take into account things that degrade system performance like hard drive defragmentation, heavy usage of Themes and backgrounds (animated or otherwise) that are graphic intense , leaving unnecessary unneeded processes enabled to Automatic or Manual instead of being Disabled. It seems to me, WEI looks at hardware settings and performance and tests for that, not software settings.
Also it does not take into account registry hack type performance tweaks.
So you could have a high WEI and your system runs like crap. LOL
On the flip side, you could have a lower WEI and your system could run and perform better than a badly managed system with a higher WEI.
And whats up with the rating from 1.0 to 7.9 ? Why didn't they use 1.0 to a perfect 10 ? That would make more sense to me.
I feel this tool was designed by a bunch of Microsoft nerds that just wanted an easy way to show off in front of their friends. LOL
