I have a notebook with a small 15GB partition for a windows system and a game.
The game needs up to 7GB of the harddisk, so I have 8GB left for the operating system.
Is it possible to shrink the windows 7 installation down to 8GB?
At the moment I run on a Windows XP operating system, but it is very unstable (running with the game, because its a newer one), so I really want to have windows 7 for playing this game. I tested it on another computer and it is running better than on my xp system while the system isn't stronger than my notebook.
Please help me to shrink the windows 7 installation to the size of an windows xp installation. I don't need any windows 7 features, only drivers and the power management for maximum power.
How is it even possible that windows 7 needs more than 12GB while windows xp only needs 2GB?!? Is it only because of the user interface?? Because I don't need it.
