Shut down after recording

I've got this issue with 7 media centre that's stumped me.

When the box wakes up to record, but then is used to watch TV - the box drops to standby after the scheduled recording has finished. I've used XPMCE and VMC without this issue - so how do I stop it happening? Sure it's only a setting somewhere that I've overlooked.

Any help will be appreciated as I'm stuck.

Is the only time your computer enters standby after watching a recorded tv show or does it also enter standby at other times?

There is an option in power settings to not enter standy (sleep) when multimedia is running. I suspect this is set, the system is also set to sleep after a time of inactivity, and these two timers are combining for your results.

Control Panel>Power Options>change plan settings>change advanced power settings>Multimedia Settings>

These options may vary slightly based on which power scheme you are currently using.
