Installed new ssd along side wd1tbblack and everything works fine and much faster.
Os and needed programs only on ssd>balance of data and apps from platter.
My issue is that when shuting down or rebooting system,a( windows task manager screen )always pops up > with no notice of programs still running before system finally shuts down.
This just seems to slow down the shut down sequence by some seconds.
Do i have an issue ??????

Where did you get Win7? Is this a retail disk or did you download and burn it yourself, and from where?

Work through the Troubleshooting Steps for Win7 to test for infection, check System File integrity, establish a clean boot, and the other troubleshooting steps and optimizations suggested which resolve most problems.

Original Microsoft win7 32 bit HP .All updates installed ,
This issue only showed its face after SSD installed.
Full clean instal of OS and apps ,not transfered from platter .
System running fine , just curious as to why shut down now has pop up window whereas previous platter instal would shut down without issue.
I have full versions of AVG, Malwarebytes, CCleaner and Superantispyware running in background????? but they do not show in pop up window(task Manager) at shutdown ,

If you don't have real time protection from MBAM or SAS they don't need to start with Windows.

Try MSE instead of AVG which no one recommends for years. We solve issues regularly by uninstalling it.

Work through the other Troubleshooting steps.

I have a similar issue, however the pop-up comes and goes very quickly, also, with no evidence of any program running. I believe this began right after I swapped out my 1TB platter for a 2TB platter. It doesn't cause any problem, so I just ignore it and treat it as another peculiarity of Windows 7.

This happens at shutdown whenever a program is asked to quit and does not behave.

Sometimes windows own processes cause this.

Programs constantly running can cause this, as well as av program.

You also always close all your programs and folders before telling it to shut down correct?

You can also try this:

Close everything, wait a few seconds at your desktop, then shut down.
