Hey guys,
I've been seeing a problem with my system's shutdown file. This file, C:\Windows\System32\Shutdown.exe appears to never work whenever I try running it. I need this because during a scan or backup overnight, I like to be able to set a task to turn off the computer at a certain time so it isn't on all night. This issue has been around ever since I got my computer a year ago and not I decided I wanted to figure out what is wrong. I don't have a problem when normally shutting down the computer. I have tried both running as admin and creating my own shutdown.bat file, but no matter what nothing happens; a small window with text shows up for half a second and disappears. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks
Mike
