Even if you have no idea about net_graph, please read till the end.

I have changed Windows version recently (from XP to 7) and after 1 day of undisturbed playtime I experienced lags. It's like a short delay that lasts few seconds and appears to be related to var (in net_graph) that jumps to over 70 and drops down when lag ends. Sometimes sv value has a red or yellow color. The var value that is at the bottom changes from 0 to 2, where 2 appears with a lag. Despite win version, there's one more difference between those two setups. My fps in XP were about 20-30 while in 7 it changes from 60-200.

I've got i3 as a processor and GeForce 8600 as a graphic card. However, I have lowered any effects from csgo and Windows 7, so my graphic card doesn't have much work. It has to be mentioned that in win xp I do not have any problems and the issue is inherent for CS:GO. For ex. Team Fortress works without any problems.

Moreover, lags occur on every server. At first, they were also a problem in offline games, but know seem to be related to online servers only.

Today I had lags every time flash was thrown. For those of you who do not know what that is, I explain that it's a granade that goes with sound and video effects. That is why I think problem is related to either graphic or sound. However, I have the latests drivers installed.

Any solution? Steam support nor gamers helped.

Hey there, as a keen CS Player, always have your graphics settings on lowest, as higher settings cause reflections, glares etc, lower settings make it easier to see and will actually improve your performance as a player.
Anyway more to the point of your issue, Enable vSync to tripple buffered, this will stop fps rising/dropping, your fps will always be 60 which is point perfect, anymore then its a waste due to the eye not being able to see more than 60, Also without Vsync screentearing must be horrendous(lines all over you screen when turning left and right or even walking straight)

It's just a tip:) I use the Shoxie's Pro config for my setup, works a treat, most pro's use lowered res and most settings on lowest with some AA for sharpness with textures on medium at most, Your welcome:)

Devlin is right, but not in the way you think, 8600 is a low memory card(256MB), even though it will easily handle CS:GO, it may not be able to handle the memory usage that comes with it, the memory buffer for your GPU is full and the purging happens, which your GPU will stop calculations for a split second and flush your memory.

However Devlin's tip to lower the resolution will not allow the memory buffer to fill up and the flush never happens.

The tip to lower res was purely based on an ingame player improvement used by pro cs players, But if it also solves fps issues with the user then yay xD.

Out of a topic question though, will the 8400 GS handle CS:GO just fine? I have plans on buying that game since it's cheaper than it's predecessor.
