Shutting down chrome completely so no background process will run

There is a setting to do this.

What is chrome running in the background?
Because if I install Chrome, then it causes my HDTV streaming to glitch, break up, pixelate.
And when I uninstall chrome, the streaming is again smooth.
If I uncheck this, can I use chrome?

Says that is what it will do, stop all chrome background usage of resources.

Wonder if you will still have to select 'exit' versus just clicking the 'x'

But you can also uncheck hardware acceleration as well which might help ?

Any particular issues with ie10-11 ?
Please state them and we might be able to work them out,

This is one of many reasons that I will never use Chrome.

It took me 3 long weeks of trial and error and testing to discover chrome causing me all that trouble..
PC is a 478 prescott 3.2ghz, so most people would never notice as most people are running much more capable PC's.

One app I like in chrome is remote desktop.

IE11 is on the PC and does not interfere with HDTV streaming OTA TV using the tuner in WMC. I suppose because when it is closed, it is not running anything?

This is a lowly HTPC dedicated PC I put together on the cheap so we can watch HDTV upstairs.

I dont run the browser and WMC at the same time. Although I wonder would scheduled recording be affected if the IE11 browser was running and WMC started a scheduled recording?

Hi,
It shouldn't ?
There would be a separate process for each,
Resource wise you wouldn't be using any more than another browser would,
Chrome or anything else would most likely take up more resources because of all of the duplicate java or flash player stuff,
Then you get into all of the stuff you don't know about
Personally ie10 is a bit more stable but ie11 gets a little better on each new version,
