I don't know if this helps but if you like your old vista sidebar you can just copy the folder and past it in the programs folder and rename the old folder for a backup, also the folder that you are editing, is that in programs or programs (86) because it is the programs folder you need to edit.

Hi,

It seems to be back now, it the same as the Vista Sidebar now, is this how it should be because the windows 7 one was different, or is this a workaround atm to correct this issue?

Well yes it's more of a workaround to correct the issue but I already did this with the first leaked beta 6801 because I prefer them docked instead of all over the desktop and you can still undock them if you like.

Ok I have a problem with the weather channel on the side bar. It just stays at gettting data and does not move. I have rebooted and re added the gadget, any more ideas on how to fix this?

Cheers

So what's happening, has the sidebar stopped working again? Can you go to the files you replaced and start the sidebar from the sidebar application file?

Its been said that turning off UAC disables the sidebar/gadget thing.

On mine I have turned UAC off and it doesn't work for me. I dont want to check with it on because UAC is that annoying.
