Firstly, this being my first post and all... Hi all!

On to the matter at hand, this is a problem thats been bugging me for a very long time, I can't even remember what it was I did to cause it anymore. But basically what it is is the Favorites menu (with the star beside it) in the sidebar of any folder hasn't got the links anymore. It should have desktop, recent items, etc I think from memory...

I've tried everything I can think of, and everything I've been able to find on the net to no avail. I've right clicked to restore favorite links, I've tried restoring the default favorites folder location, I've tried checking registry settings, downloading registry edits that are meant to restore it to default... all of which did nothing.

So now I'm here hoping someone has some idea of how to fix this, I know it doesn't seem like a big deal but whenever I'm in a folder I naturally just go to that side looking for the link to the desktop and when I see it's not there I get an angry twitch and start to rage inside... lol

Yea, it doesn't let me drag and drop anything there, when I drag something over it the red circle with the line through it appears on the cursor meaning I can't do it
