SideBySide & Stacked - can you replicate this please

Open 2 windows, then right-click taskbar and select Show windows side by side. Then right-click taskbar and Show windows stacked. Now right-click taskbar and Undo stacked. I find that I am back to the side by side view with no option to Undo it, and no quick way to get back to where I started. It's the same when selecting Stacked first and then go to Side by side without Undoing first. (Or Cascaded as well)

Windows is only remembering the last view as the "Restore" view but I want it to remember more than 2! Possible?

I'm not going to suffer much if it isn't, as I'm using Brink's Shortcuts, but I would like to get back to my original arrangements after going back and forth between the other views, without having to Undo each time.

Unless I'm missing something here, all you need to do is expand the window that you want to look at. Am I not comprehending what you want to do?

Not sure what you mean - if "expand" means manually resize each window, then no, that's too much bother.

You actually won't have to "manually resize". Just click the icon between the - and the x at the top right hand screen. Then again, maybe to you this does mean manually, as opposed to my thinking that manually resizing means dragging each side of the window to the size you want...that would be too much bother.

Double-clicking on the Title Bar of a window will toggle Maximize/Restore as well.

I'm starting with 2 windows that are already custom sized and positioned. That's what I want to easily get back to. But if you do SideBySide then Stacked, then Undo Stacked, the "Restore" view becomes the Side by Side arrangement, not the starting view, and the Undo option is gone. So at that point minimizing and maximizing and restoring don't help.

I get the same result. It would be nice if Win 7 kept track of more than just the last one, but it doesn't look like it works that way.

Yea. It looks like Microsoft chose the cheap option of one level of undo.
