signing in problems windows 7

i have read a lot of posts and i seem to have a problem with my user name is missing a letter in it, is there any way i can rectify this cause i can't sign in. it's saying my password or username is incorrect, help please!!!

Create a new admin account with your correct details then bin all the old account.
