I have few dvds that are only playable on every DVDPlayers but not on any Computer DVD drives,why? Is there any kind of restrictions? IF yes how can i remove or disable to play them?

PS when those DVDs inserted in DVDdrives it shows empty drive:no disk.

This is what happening to disc that is being smoothly played on DVD players but i cannot play or see any content of disc on PC.I have tried to play the same disc even on LINUX PC but no success : empty disc.

several solution

1.Read a troubleshoot about dvd unable to play HERE
2.try cleaning the dvd lens. maybe some dust or materials blocking your lens
3.Go to your run command and type gpedit.msc .Go to User configuration/Administrative templates/Windows components/Windows explorer .On the right pane, double click on "Remove CD burning features" tick the enabled button, then OK.

try restarting to see any changes. feel free to ask

as I've already mentioned there is no problem with both disc and drives(i have tried w/ several PC DVD drives).I know there is some kind of restriction,but i dont know what is it or how can i disable it.The screenshot i have attached above shows clearly the disc is accepted by PC and is shown "DVDROM" but it is shown empty w/ no freespace,no occupied space and no capacity at all. I'm now beginning to think that it might be burned in some other non-standard file system that PC cannot recognize but DVD players can , can it be like that ?

let me enumerate the possibilities:

1) The DVD was written using a 3rd party burning software that modifies some crucial bits, as a result of which windows cant read it correctly. This problem used to happen in XP, one would think MS would have fixed it by now.

2) The DVD writing session was not closed.

3) The particular dvd brand may not be compatible with your drive, or your drive may be malfunctioning.

4) This may not be the case here but just FYI, one can make a bootable dvd with all the data contained within the boot loader itself. As a result, the data cannot be seen inside windows, it becomes visible once the disk boots and loads the hidden image. You can see the disk details using Isobuster and even extract the image.

@Brainiacary: . . . all of which leads me back to my question which you chose to ignore: what's on the discs? Why does it matter? You ask about restrictions. Yes, there are restrictions: many. Let me give you one analogy you might understand: ever try to play an MP3 CD on standard CD player? The CD player tells you the disc is empty. Am I to assume the content of your DVD and proffer possible solutions based on my assumptions? I cannot do that.
