Site Hacked

So my father was hosting an website for my hockey team using joomla, and now he got hacked by 2 ****'tards who named themself P@3T_B@Y and S3cure.
I have no idea how they got in or what they wanna do but i just wanna get our website back, plz help me how to get those moron's out of there. I googled them and they hacked a lot of websites for no reason.

Edit: i think i got the stite back, they didn't changed the database and i'm uploading my joomla backup. But there remains me one question, how the hell did the get in?

There are numerous ways to hack a website. Make sure that your account password is not obvious, and an alpha-numeric random password such as a&d2SK204*-ds{w
