Hey everyone,

Just had a bit of a problem here with my skip forward and skip back buttons not working with Windows Media Center for Windows 7 Ultimare 32-bit edition. I have an HP 5189 keyboard, and it has the following buttons that works with Windows Media Center.

Record, Skip Back, Play/Pause, Skip Forward, and Stop.

Now with Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit edition all of these keys worked perfectly with Windows Media Center. But now that I upgraded to Ultimate 7 32-bit, the Skip Back and Skip Forward buttons don't work, all the rest do. Any idea on how to fix this or why the problem would occur?

I'll post a link to an mage of my keyboard below.

All the keys are located to the right of the keyboard.

Forgive me if this is too simplistic, but we have to establish what you've tried. Have you downloaded and installed the latest Windows 7 x86 driver for your keyboard?

Smythotech, did you resolve this one? I have just upgraded from Vista to W7 (Eeeesh, the EPG was fun. epgStream and now this BSE.. what joy.) and have a very similar issue. The skip forward and skip backward buttons on my Green Button remote dont do anything....

The IR receiver LED flashes, showing the driver is recognising the IR sequence, but the recorded TV I'm watching doesn't do anything. All the other remote buttons work correctly (no change to anything) but the skip's dont.... Very perplexed.
