Skipping DMICheck for Toshiba Web Camera Application

Hi.

I have a Toshiba Qosmio X505 laptop, and after performing a BIOS update and fresh system installation, I cannot install "Toshiba Web Camera Application" needed for the webcam to work properly.

I get "DMICheck has stopped working" error. I did some research and this apparently ensures that the SYSTEM the program is being installed on, is indeed TOSHIBA. IT IS, but after updating the BIOS to the newest version, it no longer works.

Is there any way to skip this check and continue with the installation?

I'm very desperate to get it working with those options. If there is any other program capable of accessing and controlling advanced settings for a webcam (e.g. focus, exposure, macro mode, etc), please let me know :(

Hi TDD,
As its a fresh install make sure your chipset driver is upto date, that dmicheck is the link between the north/south bridges on it.

Hello and thank you for your reply,

I just checked and updated some of the drivers, including the Chipset. Same result, unfortunately.
