Sky player in mce problem -blank screen

Hi guys, got a problem ,tried everything I could think of to fix it to no avail...looking for some more suggestions, hopefully.

The problem is with sky player plugin in mce on windows 7.
So it was all working nicely for few days, now suddenly all I got when trying to play program is White blank screen.
I know my sky login is ok, as from the same machine I can use sky player without problem from within ie8, just mce program doesn't work.

What I tried so far:
reinstalling silverlight.
Reinstalling silverlight plugin for mce
Reinstalling sky player itself
Numerous reboots
Latest windows updates for mce
Can't use system restore,as my machine only shows 3 restore points all created after problem occurred (windows update restorecpoints)

Still only dreaded White screen when trying to play live tv or on demand program.
It's driving me nuts

I wouldn't worry about it. The Sky app in media center will no longer function as of July (can't remember the exact date). They appear to be more interested in pushing the xbox 360 version.
I am hoping someone will come up with a way to intergrate sky desktop app into media center somehow

Wow, I wasn't aware of that....why would they shut it down? Not enough users to make it worth while?

I have no idea why they are shutting it down. It is mentioned all over the internet, and even on the sky pages, but no official reason why it is to be shut down
