SKY Player -- no longer available GRGH!!!!!

Hi all
Is this just a problem for people OUTSIDE the UK or are SKY really pulling the plug on this service -- used to work FINE - even SKY SPORTS !!!.

Isn't the EU meant to allow FREE MOVEMENT of stuff within the entire EU.

Anyway here's what I got when I tried to logon to SKY to watch the Womens World Cup tonight.

Earlier I was looking at Cricket via sky sports on Media centre -- screen shot enc also.

It seems a shame that this service is being discontinued -- it was great when you are in a hotel which only has RUBBISH TV channels.

Sky player has been replaced by a new service called sky go,you will have to watch programes via your browser or download sky go to your pc.You will no longer be able to watch it via the media centre on your pc

Oh well, with this news and the furore going on at the News of The World it seems Murdoch's regime gets screwier by the day.

I'm on contract with Sky until Sepember 1st, and then it's finito, kaput, they can have the lot back. I'm fed up with the same films being on night after night anyway so this has been the nudge I needed to make a decision.

The good thing about sky go is that you no longer need multiroom to watch all the sports amd movies,that is if you subscribe to those channels,you can also watch sky go on 2 devices at the same time.So its not all bad.
