Hey guys. Tried the reinstall of all graphic drivers - no go. Tried the power settings. Tried the cmd prompt "powercfg" that didn't work. New build and it's installing up dates.

TRY DISM++ to install updates! Faster engine, doesn't provide an update then an update that supersedes it, just the latest version.
Dism++ | New Windows Utility
When you run the tool, click > update > scan > when scan completes select updates, if there is a known issue with the update you will be prompted. No restart between updates too!

As usual I hacked through it after I post for help. What I found was nothing that was posted on the Web. I've got a Intel graphics card and during the initial install Windows loads a generic VGA graphics driver. Well that didn't have provision for sleep mode on my machine. Subsequently I installed the oe Intel driver but for some reason it was getting trump by the native win7 driver. So I tried to disable it and it worked. However after getting rid of (deleting), it re installed back and the issue arose again. So if you just disable the driver instead of out write deleting it, it will cease to cause the issue again.
