Hi,

Your Hard Drive is the prime suspect here.

Run checkdisk,

START -> type cmd.exe -> Right-click -> run as admin -> type chkdsk /r /f -> Press Y at prompt -> restart computer.

Code:
[FONT=lucida console]
Drive: C:
 Free Space: 59.1 GB
Total Space: 122.0 GB
File System: NTFS
      Model: [COLOR=Blue]OCZ-VERT EX SCSI Disk Device[/COLOR]
[/FONT]
Your SSD is your OS drive? From what I am seeing here it does not like being put into sleep mode - you seem to be getting data corruption when it comes out of sleep mode.

Regards,
Reventon

No, I am pretty sure you will still get BSODs.

What sleep state is it going into? (Check power management.. it will be the letter S + a Number)

yup, an overnight sleep triggered BSOD on wake.

Not sure how to find sleep state so I checked bios info:
-Suspend Mode: Auto
-Repost Video on S3 Resume: No

were these the settings you're looking for?

UPDATE:
changed bios setting to:
Suspend Mode - S3 (originally set to AUTO)
ACPI 2.0 Support - Enabled

Sent into sleep mode and 5 hours later, machine awoke properly! what a relief.

I also enabled Repost Video on S3 Resume...nice feature, skips the login screen and posts desktop as it was left. must have a compatible vid card though.

Thanks for all help, sevenforums.com; you guys are great!
