SLI/Crossfire vs single card.

Yello peeps.

My current desktop has a Geforce GTX 660 card inside and I wanna know if I get better graphics if I were to change it to my two Radeon HD 7870 cards?

Better off buying a better GPU SLI/Crossfire has too many issues i used to have a Crossfire set up in the end i went with a single card and also a second card is only 25% usable maybe up to 40%usable so the second card is kind of wasted because your not getting full use of it

I agree. It's always better to just buy a better graphics card. SLI/Crossfire can have a lot of issues when playing games and stuff, and in the end the performance might still be lower than a single, more powerful card.

Some of the problems with SLI/Crossfire:
1. Higher power consumption producing more heat.
2. Limited performance gains.
3. Not supported by all games.

One good card will usually produce better results.

Hm, I see well then I will have to stick with this one card until I have some money. I'm a student and unfortunately my income is limited due that I still live with my parents.
