Hey Guys

I want to setup 2 identical Nvidia cards in SLI. When I install the cards for the first time should I install one card and set it up completely with the driver software in windows 7 and make sure all is well with one card installed, then install the second card and configure them for SLI? Or should I install both cards at the same time along with the SLI bridge and install the driver software and configure for SLI?

Thanks for the Help!!

Lucaa

Welcome to Seven Forums. Personally I set mine up with both cards in and then run the video card driver.once it is installed after restart you should get a pop up bubble stating your system is SLI capable>click on it or go to Nvidia control panel, in control panel and select SLi. You can do it either way it's your choice. Fabe Just an after thought if the cards are used you may want to try them one at a time just to make sure both cards are functioning properly.

You can install them both at the same time with the SLI bridge already connected. Remember the card in the top PCI-E slot will always be the dominant card to hook your monitor up to.

Thanks guys for the fast replies!!

They are new MSI GTX 460 cards I getting this week. I'll install them both at the same time with the SLI bridge and install the drivers. I'm making the switch from ATI. I had a 4870 X2 that bit the dust. It had been giving me problems off and on for months. Hope I have better luck with these.

Thanks again!!
