I've never had any problems with my computer but today I went I to the amd catalyst control center and used the overdrive feature to slightly turn up the graphics card's max clock speed and max memory. Not sure why I did this but now it crashes under the slightest strain. It boots up fine but opening any programs other then maybe the file explorer causes a shutdown. So I can't go into the control center to turn it down. Kinda stumped.

Tap F8 throughout the start-up procedure (from when you turn it on until you get a menu) and boot into Safemode, change the settings from here

I should have stated before that I did try that, but the catalyst control center won't open in safemode because it doesn't detect the drivers for the graphics card.

Okay I tried deleting profiles.xml but it didn't work. I was still able to fix it by uninstalling the graphics cards drivers without it crashing and then going into the control center and restoring default settings. Then I just reinstalled drivers and it seems fine now. Thank you all for your information and quick responses.

Yeah, I spoke too soon. It didn't crash as easily but when I got to messing around with different windows it crashed the same as before. I uninstalled and reinstalled the driver and ccc. I also reset all the ccc's settings to the factory default. Maybe I should just uninstall ccc?
