Hi all!

My Windows 7 takes a looong time to boot. Or rather... there's a blinking underscore on the upper left corner of the screen for about a 100 seconds or so, and then the OS boots flawlessly (and fast). It happens every freaking time, even when coming out of hibernation (sleep works fine).

I'm using the latest MacBook Pro. What on earth could be wrong?

Thanks!

In your case, specs would be helpful.

MacBook Pro "Core 2 Duo" 2.8 15" (SD) Specs (Mid-2009 15", MB986LL/A, A1286, MacBookPro5,3) @ EveryMac.com

You can try the clean boot to see if that gives any information.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

Run a virus scan. Download and use malwarebytes.
Malwarebytes.org

Try running with Antivirus turned off.
Clean boot with same issue. Actually, the problem has been present since I installed the OS. At first I thought it was some first-boot thing, but it turned out to be permanent issue.

At risk of fielding false accusations I'll simply say that this is a known issue with many "loaders".

Loaders?

daz, orbit30 etc. Used to illegally activate Windows 7. It's a common problem reported when that "software" is used on a MacBook Pro.

So, that issue is not present in Genuine Windows? Excellent! Thanks!
