Slow bootloader and startup

I have currently installed Windows 7 alongside a pre-installed Windows 8, and I have got pretty much everything working except that, when I select Windows 7 from the boot-loader, the boot is extremely slow, and it takes too long to show the "Microsoft Corporation" text then again slowly followed by the "Starting Windows" text and the Windows Flag logo. Eventually is does boot into the desktop, but I've never seen such huge delays between the little parts that make up the start up screen. This is a really clean install, and no programs or tweaks have been made so I'm expecting it to be a really fast start up, maybe like 30 seconds or so. When I have installed Windows 7 on low ish spec machines with a bare minimal GPU and RAM etc. the "Microsoft Corporation" text and the Windows Flag appear together at the same time, and all that happens differently is the Flag spins around for a bit longer. However, this computer seems to take 3 minutes to get past start up screen to the login window. Very Slow indeed.

The other thing is the bootloader itself is slow at loading up. The white bars appear from left to right in a fancy graphical way, and the text with all the instructions show at a line at a time, as though someone is typing them in real-time as we read them. Like before using Windows 7, the boot loader usually just shows up instantly. This is all very weird and I've never seen anything like it. If you lot think this is weird and abnormal, maybe this is what is causing my slow start up? I'm also have problems with the keyboard not working at all when using the Windows 7 boot loader (I've mentioned this in another post - http://www.sevenforums.com/installa...t-work-windows-7-boot-loader.html#post2329373)

The specifications of the PC I'm using Windows 7 on are as follows:-
Intel i3 - 3.3Ghz
8GB RAM DDR3 1333Mhz
Western Digital 1TB HDD
Windows 7 Professional x64

Does anyone actually have windows 7 as the boot manager, and can navigate between windows 8 and 7 easily with the keyboard working. Also if your recommending to use the windows 8 loader, how do I set it so that if no choice is made from the windows 8 loader, windows 7 will boot automatically. Every time I set the default OS, it also seems to change which OS manages the bootloader as well, how do I stop it from doing this?

Use Windows 8 bootloader with Windows 7 as default OS

Windows 8 was pre-installed (so was installed first) and windows 7 was put on after. What will running automatic repair x3 actually do, why 3 times?

Automatic Repair, repairs one item at a time.

Here you have NO KEYBOOARD working.

Problems after installing Windows 7 alongside Windows 8

Ok I managed to get EasyBCD installed on windows 7 and I changed the default OS back to Windows 8 and got Windows 8 to boot after doing its automatic recovery fix. The problem is I'm still using the windows 7 like bootloader, and the keyboard is still not working on when the bootloader shows. I have gone through the whole of my bios and I still can't move around on the bootloader. Does anybody have any suggestions?
