Solved Slow Login

Hi,

My windows 7 system boots quite fast but at times it seems the system is hanging for a period of time before finally showing my desktop.It hangs where it says "welcome" and the little round circle keeps turning around.I do not get a black screen (i know an issue exist where people get a black screen at login but i'm not getting that)I suspect the cyberlink software that whas bundled with my laptop as a possible cause can this be true ?

Type "msconfig" in the start-search and click on start up tab.Uncheck all items except your security software and any item from microsoft.Click on apply then OK.Restart your laptop and check whether your desktop comes up faster than before.

Good idea why didn't i think of that ? :huh: i can do that a few times to narrow down if it's indeed that cyberlink software or something else.

yes it is it's the damned cyberlink thing i hate that bundled crap problem solved

Thanks for the update Erikbe.Glad you sorted it out.

I too have cyberlink power DVD installed but it has never been as my start up program.
