Hello all. I hope I can get some help for my problem. I have a lenovo g570 laptop with 8 gigs of ram and win 7 home premium 64

a few days ago, my laptop started behaving very strangely, exactly like this post describes http://www.sevenforums.com/general-...ing-minimizing-windows-games-slow-motion.html

so far i've done the following:
reinstall laptop to factory settings
reinstalled drivers
ran sfc and chkdsk - both say there are no corrupted files.

none of these have helped me so far.

i did notice that if i change my color depth from 32 bit to 16 bit, some of the window lagging goes away, but i still have problems running any type of video games.

please help! thank you very much.

heh, strange issue.

Some suggestions:
-try doing step 2 of this tutorial and disable other stuff in the list
-do a more through driver reinstall. Go in Device Manager (write "device manager" in the search box of the Start menu) , double-click the only entry you should see under "display adapters", go into Drivers tab, select Uninstall. Select the checkbox about deleting the drivers as well. Rinse and repeat until you can do it no more and the screen resolution is crappy (which means you are using the generic display drivers).
If you cannot do that, check in the general tab, there should be a button (just under the white text box) to elevate that panel to Administrator and be able to do that.
Then download the drivers from the Intel's site and install them. If that does not work again uninstall them as above and try with the ones offered from the manufacturer's support page for your model, scroll down down down, and it's the one for Intel onboard graphics for Windows 64-bit.
-Find the graphics options and try to tweak stuff, look in the Control Panel (small icon view) for Intel Graphics.
-Go in the BIOS (look at the text telling you to press a key to enter Setup just after you power on your device, and press it asap a few times after you pressed the power button) and try to allocate more RAM to the integrated graphics (if possible at all)

Otherwise I'm afraid the second link AddRam posted above is your only hope.

Bear with me here because I'm not a gamer.
When one playing a game what programs are they min. and max. while playing a game.
I thought the object was to fill the screen with the game and go for it. What am I missing.
