I am right out of my depth with this problem.

Relatively new Lenovo e540 Laptop
When a window is dragged sometimes there is a residual "trail" of the moving window.
- the duplicate window-frames clear away within seconds

With a lot of open windows (multiple browser tabs, several browser instances, multiple text files, several instances of WinExp ...
... sometimes window images break up, or areas of closed windows remain on the screen.
- by selecting another full-screen window (focus) then return to the jig-saw mess the problem window is rendered correctly.
On some occasions the only solution is to reboot the system

This morning with only desktop, System Information - SI (window), and an orphan Notepad -NP window ... open ...
both SI and NP windows were very jumpy. All text in the SI window was very unstable.

Just noticed while writing this post, scrolling the message editor frame up/down, the editor is not smooth

My desktop machine does not have any of these problems.
- an old Toshiba laptop had very stable graphics, but this Lenovo has been a problem since day #1

An uneducated guess is that the problem might be graphics driver, but I would appreciate some expert help

Thank you :)

Hello mate now just what is the model number of that machine and yes I think it is a graphics issue whether it is the graphics unit or the monitor I cannot say could even be a combo of the two being out of whack.
