slow ssd

well i have a little concern. i have this vertex le 50gb ssd that i was told i had to run in raid on my mobo due to it's setup so i set it up in raid 0 buy it self and it was pulling a 7.4 wei rating. reviews from the place i bought it were getting 7.7 or so. so i updated the firmware and. since the bios was setup in raid 0 i had to change to achi and let windows install the achi drivers. i did that and performed the update and retested the ssd with as ssd and then rerun wei. as you can see the before (top) was a little slower and the wei was higher. any idea what might have happened? here is the one i bought and the specs

Hello Fastslvblkcar,

If you have a Intel chipset, then you will also need to install the latest Intel(R) Rapid Storage Technology 9.​6.​0.​1014 RAID driver. It just added SSD RAID support in this version.
