Slow start IE9 - First 10s blank page before it continues to homepage

I have installed IE9 Beta (Windows 7 Pro 32-bit). When I startup (cold start) IE9, it starts up very fast, but then it displays a blank page for about 10 seconds. After this period, it continues and shows my home page (Google). I installed IE9 on another PC but there I have the same problem. When I close IE9 and start it again, everything is fine. But as soon as I reboot my PC and start IE9 again, I have the delay again. Does someone know how I could solve this problem?

I too have this problem with IE9. I have even set my homepage to about:blank but the delay remains. As you know, and have stated, IE9 is still in the Beta phase of its development. This means that some of the code isn't yet fully optimised. Hopefully, this issue should be resolved when it is finally released in its full version. That issue aside, I am finding IE9 quite stable and easy to use. Of course, there are differences between IE8 and IE9, but it's just a matter of getting used to them.

Ok, thanks for your answer. Maybe is has something to do with the GPU hardware acceleration. Is there a list somewhere where I can check if my GPU is compatible with IE9? Or are all GPU's compatible?

yep I have the same problem, but it should be fixed in the RTM version =)!
