This device claims it has no driver and is unable to locate its driver through Windows Update or find it on the computer.

I don't know what this particular device is or what it is supposed to do, so I'm not certain where the driver would be located.

Could this possibly be related to the out dated BIOS? Current version is 1.1 and I believe 1.7 is the new one.

Thanks for any assistance!

Windows 7 Professional 64 bit SP1, AMD A10-5800K, ASRock FM2A85X Extreme4, BIOS v 1.1, 8GB DDR3, and all of the other usual stuff......

Your chipset driver sounds like it needs updating. Do you have the disk that came with the motherboard? If not, check here for it.

Thank you very much for your assistance, Boozad. The driver is now where it is supposed to be! Now to try to figure out if I should do something about the bios issue.....but that's a post for another area, I think. Unless the bios is just a "super-sized" driver? Thanks again for the assist!

You're welcome. I would leave the BIOS well alone unless it is causing you issues.
